Dr. Jay Patel is a urologist in private practice for 17 years, he enjoys treating urological illnesses including bladder, kidney and prostate cancers, female incontinence, enlarged prostate, kidney stones and vasectomies. Prostate cancer patients are treated laparoscopic using the DaVinci robot. Dr. Patel has office locations at St. John’s Mercy and Big Bend & Highway 44 to accommodate the needs of patients in West and South County.
Dr. Jay Patel, M.D. received his B.S. at Northern Illinois University. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Southern Illinois University, School of Medicine. After graduating medical school, Dr. Patel completed his residence at the University Of Missouri in General Surgery and Urology. His fellowship was earned through the University of Tennessee in Urologic Oncology.
Dr. Jay Patel is a Board Certified Urologist and active member of the American Urological Society, Missouri State Medical Society and St. Louis Urological Society. Dr. Patel has participated in research studies for the study of palliative treatment of pain due to Metastatic Bone Disease from prostate cancer, the study of Finasteride effects of post-radical prostatectomy patients and the Effects of BHCG on infertile males.
